Abby Hensel , 34, an American teacher who rose to fame on a reality show with her conjoined twin, quietly married Josh Bowling , a nurse and army veteran, three years ago.
He revealed the marriage to TODAY media.
Abby and her sister Brittany share one body and from the waist down all their organs, including their intestines, bladder and reproductive organs, are shared.
In a documentary filmed when the girls were teenagers, their mother said they were capable of having children one day. 'Yes, we're going to be mothers,' Brittany admitted . Also, in another interview, Brittany reiterated her desire to start a family. Abby added: 'Yes, we're going to be mums one day, but we don't want to talk about how it's going to work yet.'
'People have been curious about us since we were born, for obvious reasons,' the twins said in the first episode of their eight-part series.
In an interview in 2001, the twins' father, Mike , said that he had discussed this part with his daughters and that they were in favor of the marriage.
