Vera Ora, who has been a psychiatrist for years in Great Britain, has reacted on her social networks to the case of the rape of the 11-year-old girl in Kosovo. Vera has shared a video on Instagram, where she shows her point of view on the event and the phenomenon in general, but also shares an important advice for Albanian society.
She has called this an act that must be severely punished and one must think about the psychology of those people and what they had as their goal in this terrible act against an 11-year-old child.
“Unë e shoh këtë si një grup të drejtuar nga një profil. Kush është lideri dhe çfarë prapavije ka pasur ai njeri, të cilin e kanë ndjekur edhe të tjerë që të bëjnë një akt kaq të tmerrshëm? Është një dukuri që duhet menduar. Mund të jetë një sulm i organizuar dhe i planifikuar shumë gjatë me një strategji, mund të them ndonjë qëllim apo ndonjë hakmarrje apo ndonjë akt i cili është bazuar në një prapvijë. Mua më qan zemra për atë vajzë dhe traumat që ka pësuar ai fëmijë, trauma të cilat është shumë e vështirë, ose kurrë nuk do të largohen nga jeta e saj. Si në psiqikën e saj, ashtu edhe në të familjes dhe rrethit të ngushtë. Siç thashë dhe më parë ky grup e ka një udhëheqës, një psikopat udhëheqës, i cili ka zhvilluar një ide dhe e kanë përcjellë të tjerët. Sigurisht që mund të ketë pasur ndonjë që ka rezistuar, por dihet se çfarë ndodh me ata që rezistojnë. Kur bëhet një akt i tillë, ne si shoqëri fillojmë të akuzojmë me të drejtë, por ndoshta është me rëndësi të shohim si shoqëri çfarë të bëhet në këto raste”, -ka thënë ndër të tjera Vera.
Further, she shared a piece of advice for the entire Albanian society.
"We as a society have developed and civilized, but as scientists say, we are still social animals that can react in cases when the mind does not work well, do different acts. However, we must think and appreciate the importance of the family, the development and education of our children. What family circle do we give our children and how do we educate them to have gender equality? We still gather male crowd on one side, female crowd on one side. Even in family arrangements, we still think a little in terms of separation, which can result in an effect that our children do not have that community, warmth and understanding towards each other without gender differences. We have to think about what we do and what role we have in our society, as parents, as citizens living in communities with equal rights."
