It is said that if you eat cheese before bed, you will spend a long night with scary dreams. You will even have nightmares at night. But according to science, this myth is not completely true, as a study was conducted with 200 people who ate cheese before going to bed.

75% of participants reported having a restful night, even though they had more strange dreams than usual. However, apparently, the type of cheese we consume also has an effect. Those who had eaten blue cheese had the most unusual dreams.

All of these weird bedtime things happen because cheese contains several compounds, including tryptamine and tyramine, which are believed to affect the brain's chemical systems.

Basically, this means that while cheese hasn't been proven to give you nightmares, it does affect what you dream about. So be careful, think carefully about what cheese you will consume before going to sleep.
