The New York Times reported that tickets for the 2021 gala cost $ 35,000 each and the tables ranged from $ 200,000 to $ 300,000. The Met Gala is a fundraiser for the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the money raised goes to the maintenance of the museum.
