Vladimir Putin's girlfriend, Alina Kabaeva, is suspected of hiding in Switzerland with their four young children, sources told Page Six.

"As Putin carries out his attack on Ukraine, attacking innocent civilians and causing a refugee crisis, his family is secured in a very private and very secure home somewhere in Switzerland - at least until now, " the source said.

Kabaeva, an Olympic gold medalist, reportedly has four children with the 69-year-old Russian leader, but both have never been officially confirmed.

Sources say they have two 7-year-old twin daughters, who were born near Lugano, Switzerland, in February 2015. They are believed to have two other sons.

Putin never talks about his personal affairs and two of his daughters are kept out of the spotlight and rarely talked about.

Earlier he said: I have a private life in which I do not allow interference. It must be respected.
