Prime Minister Edi Rama met at the Climate Summit with world-famous actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
Prime Minister Rama himself has published a photo from the meeting he had with DiCaprion.
He is seen standing next to the actor discussing with him.
" When you are a neighbor with Leonardo DiCaprio and Vjosa's defense connects you", - Rama writes next to the photo.
Well-known actor Leonardo di Caprio has supported the initiative for the protection of the Vjosa River in Albania since 2019.
He has spoken out against the decision to build hydropower plants in the Vjosa, which is also one of the 'wild' rivers in Europe.
Di Caprio has been constantly active on the Vjosa issue, which has also reacted last year in relation to the statement of Prime Minister Edi Rama on September 25 where he officially refused to give permission for HPP projects in the lower Vjosa.
The Vjosa River is one of the last wild and untouched rivers in Europe. With a length of 270 km, divided into canyons, intertwined rivers, islands and rapids, the Vjosa connects the states of Europe together.
