What is a 'sports vagina'?
The sports vagina is not an official medical condition. The vulva and vaginal area produce sweat, which can cause discomfort, especially if you wear inappropriate clothing.
Sports vagina symptoms can be mild or severe, depending on the type of exercise, the intensity of the exercise, and how often you exercise. Symptoms may include:
-kruarje
- redness
- irritation
- vaginal pain
- bad smell
Many women do not think about vaginal health when exercising - until something goes wrong. Here are some things you can do to help ease the way.
1. Cleaning : If you find it impossible to shower directly after exercise, at least change your underwear and wear other clothes.
2. Wear appropriate workout clothes: Wear cotton underwear and choose looser clothes that remove moisture.
3. Stay hydrated before, during and after the gym.
4. Use intimate hygiene products.
Slight itching or vaginal irritation after vigorous exercise is not strongly troubling. If symptoms persist, do not expect them to go away on their own. You may have an infection.
