Dua Lipa has been sued for posting a photo of herself taken by the paparazzi on Instagram.

The singer posted the photo on February 7, 2019. In the image she appeared waiting in line at the airport with a ticket and passport in hand while holding a large hat.

"I will live under big fluffy hats until further notice," she captioned the photo.

Integral Images filed a lawsuit against the singer, saying she took advantage of the image posting as her Instagram is essentially a marketing tool for her career. U.S. court documents say her IG account is "monetized and has content created to gather followers who are directed, through links and / or advertising, to consume and purchase [her] content". Documents also say Dua shared the photo with her followers "without permission or authorization" and "knowingly" posted it without approval.

Integral Images is seeking $ 150,000 in damages. Furthermore, the company is seeking legal costs to be reimbursed and wants an order that would prevent Dua from committing such violations again. Integral acquired the copyright to the images on February 20, 2021, more than two years after Lipa published the image.

This is not the first time a celebrity has posted a photo of an unlicensed paparazzi being sued. Something similar happened to Gigi Hadid, Liam Hemsworth, Khloé Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Jennifer Lopez.
