Eni Vasili appeared in "Open" with his hand bandaged and many people wrote to him to ask what happened to him. Through some videos on Instagram Stories, the journalist has clarified that she did not fall and did not break her arm, as many might have thought, but she is suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome, in this case due to pregnancy.
"I thank you all for your interest and for asking me so much about what happened to my hand. I will explain very briefly. I did not fall, I did not break anything. I have one thing that many ladies in my position, pregnant women, have suffered. It is called carpal tunnel syndrome and refers to the nerves of the wrist, which at some point become inflamed, create hematomas, create inability to perform perhaps many of the activities of the day. The truth is that it is a consequence of pregnancy and you have nothing to do with it because you can not use medication. "The only thing you can do is a little physiotherapy," Eni explained briefly.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by pressure on the median nerve, which passes into the wrist (carpal) part. Symptoms of this syndrome may include numbness, tingling, and weakness in the hands and arms.
Wrist anatomy, health problems, and repetitive hand movements can all contribute to carpal tunnel syndrome. Proper treatment usually removes the sensation of piercing and numbness and restores wrist and hand function.
