American businesswoman Jennifer Arcuri has revealed about her four-year relationship with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson between 2012 and 2016, in an exclusive interview with the Sunday Mirror.

Ms Arcuri said the couple shared a "physical and intellectual attraction" after they met while she was a student in 2011 and he was the mayor of London, married to lawyer Marina Wheeler, with whom he has four children.

"We were in an intimate relationship for four years," she told the tabloid. "I loved it, and for good reason. "But the man I thought I knew no longer exists."

Without meeting at an event in 2011, their paths crossed again in 2012, when she volunteered to work for his re-election campaign.

An interesting detail she mentions in the interview is the name she had listed on the phone, "Alex the Great", for his middle name and passion for antiquity.

"We met once a week, he could not keep his hands away from me. We had a strong mutual physical and intellectual attraction. We had a Shakespearean love , " Arcuri confesses.

The businesswoman went further by revealing that the prime minister had begged her to take intimate photos together. Arcuri says that feelings towards him have changed since their connection to the media came out and the accusations that Boris Johnson had treated him differently with public grants.

She told the Sunday Mirror: 'He was intimidated by the publication of our link and left'.

"A great leader is charismatic, courageous and courageous. None of these words I would use to describe Boris Johnson," Arcuri said.

The 'Greater London Authority' is currently investigating whether Mr Johnson has violated the 'Nolan' Principles of Public Life, the code of conduct with which the mayor is expected to comply, by not confessing his connection to Ms Arcuri.
