The basketball player tragically lost a boy in 2006, but shockingly used the tragedy to avoid a test that would end his career, as he knew he would test positive for drugs.

Lamar Odom, 40, and former partner Lisa Morales tragically lost their son, Jayden, when he was just six months old.

The couple, who also have a daughter Destiny, 22, and a son Lamar Jr., 18, were devastated when Jayden died of sudden infant death syndrome in 2006.

Drug addict Lamar, who later married Khloe Kardashian, had already tested positive for the drug twice and was penalized by basketball. A third test would end his career.

Lamar wrote: "We decided to invent another family emergency in New York, where I had to go immediately. I called Lisa and told her to send the children home after school. It had to look like a tragedy had happened."

At midnight that night, Lamar boarded a private jet in New York and drank a mixture of blueberry juice and water all the time in an attempt to clean up his system. He then returned home and remained locked up for 2 days.

Lamar headed back to Los Angeles in time for the next game, clean and able to pass a drug test.
