NBA and Los Angeles Laker legend Kobe Bryant has been killed in a plane crash. According to US police, the private helicopter of the basketball player who was flying to Calabases, a city 70km from Los Angeles, crashed after being blown up. There were 4 other people aboard and none of them could survive.
TMZ reports that the 41-year-old helicopter was not his wife Vanessa Bryant, and Los Angeles firefighters arrived at the scene. It is learned that during the flight the helicopter caught fire. Although first aid was given immediately, no one could survive.
It was not the first time Bryant took the helicopter to travel, but this Sunday proved fatal for him, after taking his own life leaving his wife Vanessa and his 4 daughters.
Kobe Bryant is considered one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history and the fourth-best scorer in the league with over 33,000 career points scored.
In the 20 years of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers, Bryant won five NBA championships, and was named MVP of the Finals on two occasions, and one of the best regular-season players. . He has also participated in 18 editions of the All Star Game.
